What Is Employee Engagement?

Employee engagement is a workplace approach that translates into the right conditions for all members of the Organization to do their best every day, committed to the goals and values of their organization, motivated by contributing to the success of the Organization, with a growing sense of well-being.

Employee engagement is a human resources concept that describes the employee's level of enthusiasm and dedication to his work. Engaged employees take care of their work and the company's performance and feel that their efforts are important. An employee works on you for more than a salary and may believe that their well-being is linked to their productivity and thus plays an important role in the success of their business (Smith, 2020). According to Alfes, et al (2013), “engaged employees have a positive attitude and have work-related state of mind characterized by vigor, dedication, and absorption and these make the employees psychologically present at work, which minimizes their possibility to do work related mistakes and errors.”
